Hi, I'm Heather!
I am a social entrepreneur, interested in how social innovation can support our welfare as individuals and as a society. I have recently returned to my home country Canada and beloved city Vancouver.
I am very excited to be working as Director of Research for Ayogo Health. Using behavioural economics techniques and game psychology, our mission is to improve patients' engagement with their health care.
For the past ten years, I have investigated the factors that influence people’s perceptions and behaviours. In 2015, I completed a PhD in Psychology at Duke University under the guidance of professor Dan Ariely. As a graduate student, I explored how social contexts influence morality and dishonesty.
In my free time, I like to sing, dance, improvise, meditate, and go to RV shows. Cooking, hiking, and travelling are also pretty high on the list. I am interested in dream life, consciousness, and animal intelligence.
Feel free to explore my site to learn more about what I’m up to. If anything interests you, please get in touch!
